Clare is not your usual money expert. In 2019, with over £27k of debt spread across seven different credit cards and an overdraft, no savings and no assets, Clare reached a breaking point in her relationship with money and did what any sane person would do - set up an Instagram account and shared her story with the world.

Over the years that have followed, she has built an online community of over 120k people by sharing her progress as she paid off her debt, saved a house deposit and navigated the financial challenges of having a baby, certifying as a financial coach and keeping humanity right at the heart of her content. Her bestselling first book, Real Life Money, was published in 2020, followed by Five steps to Financial Wellbeing in 2022.

Also in 2022, aged 32, Clare was diagnosed with ADHD - a process that taught her even more about her relationship with money and opened her eyes to the many challenges faced by neurodivergent people. Clare now focuses her advice on making personal finance as inclusive as possible, offering practical, shame-free guidance. She combines her own experiences with debt and ADHD to share authentic stories, actionable tips, and little-known hacks that help people save money, shop wisely, and make better financial choices.

Clare’s content covers topics like money in motherhood, millennial finance, shopping addiction, saving, investing and many more, and she is trusted by her audience to be frank and honest. She loves to work on meaningful campaigns that really connect with her community - whether that’s spreading the word about Monzo’s ADHD-friendly saving tools, raising awareness of the Gender Pension Gap in partnership with PensionBee or being honest about financial anxiety with Unity Mutual. Clare’s real-life approach to money means that her partnerships aren’t limited to financial brands, either - she is Hipp Organic’s resident family finance expert, and has worked with brands like Clarins, Boots and Asda on lifestyle campaigns. She has successfully introduced over 1,000 new customers each to platforms like TopCashback, Snoop, Plum and Sprive with content that connects and converts.

Regularly commissioned to write for publications like the Guardian, the i Paper, Grazia, Stylist, Clare is media-trained and has been trusted as an expert in media and broadcast campaigns for Experian, Motorway and eBay among others.

In addition to her brand and journalism work, Clare practises as a financial coach with private and corporate clients: her monthly clinics for Havas Media have been running for over two years, with brilliant feedback. She also supports workplaces by providing keynote talks and workshops, opening up conversations about money that wouldn’t otherwise happen.
